Thats right today we have no visual clues to my adventures. Grandpa and I where to busy taking video of me and Snowball. Snowball was out in the big pasture today and when we came he began running all over his corral. I didn't know a little horse had so much energy and could run so fast. It was really tricky getting the video camera out and pushing the stroller up a difficult dirt trail. Or so says grandpa maybe he just has trouble multi-tasking?
As we came up the trail we were greeted by two ladies on really big horses. I was so proud of Ricki and Nika as they moved to the side and sat down so the horses could go through. Not all dogs behave around horses and that could be dangerous for the horses and their riders.
Of course I got to get out and play too and while I was playing with my ball little Herbie came by to visit. Herbie is a little black pug and is very cute. He is a little intimidated by the big dogs. Who could blame him he only weighs about 12 to 15 pounds. Farmor got to pet Dolly a schnauzer who we see a lot but is cautious around little dynamos like myself.
When we got back to Farmor's house grandpa and I went swimming. We splashed and splashed. Then I took a bath and ate lunch. I'm a bit tired now so blog at you later. Little"G"

My Office

Welcome to my office. When mom and dad go to work I go to work at farmor's house. I have my own work bench as you can see in this photo. In fact you might be able to see the concentration on my face as I exercise my array of wooden toys.
Of course the other portion of my work environment is in the field feeding and visiting with the animals of Portola Valley. Today I made the acquaintance of two new horses and Mr. Bill who gave us a whole bunch of pears.
When we got back to my office we washed the pears and gave some to Kojak and Dolly our two large parrots. They loved them in fact Kojak finished his so fast we had to give him more. Well I had a hard weekend and need to take a nap now. Blog at you later. Little"G"

Promised Video
Well its Thursday and it has been a very exciting week. I have visited all my animal friends and went to the park. I told you about the park earlier in the week and here is a video of how I did on the spring toy.
Today I got lots of exercise I ran and climbed all over the horse property and met the owner of Cherokee a paint colored horse. We then went down to blocked off area of Georgia Lane and played with my basketball. It was so much fun watching Farmor run thats right she ran after the ball and did real good. We then went over to Joe's house and I explored the apple trees and got to touch some neat pink flowers.
I got home ate lunch and just passed out, I was really tired from so much fresh air. Have a nice weekend and I'll blog at you all next week. Little"G"

Chains

Today I got to explore the many uses of chains. There good for separating the roadway, swinging on and of course posing with.
The dogs and I played on the end of Hidden Valley Road and Possum Lane. Besides chains there is lots of other neat things to investigate.
Huge leafs, big sticks, all types of growing plants.
I run and crawl over everything in my way. Grandpa is even helping me to learn how to walk Nika on her leash. She minds real well as long as I'm giving her treats. It's nap time so blog at you later. Little"G"

Wowing the Girls

At the park today I got to play with lots of other children. As you can see I seem to draw the older girls. This one wants to help me rock and roll on some neat toys.
Grandpa got some video of us making this think really move. You'll be able to see how she just sidles up to me and we enjoy the ride together.
Unfortunately for you you will have to wait to see that. Remember good things come to those that wait. Little"G"

I'm a Video Watcher

Grandpa thinks it is interesting how I hone in on certain videos and watch them over and over again. I even pickup all the musical cues so that if I'm doing something else I know when to return for the good parts.
Of course I went on my daily walk with the dogs and visited all our old friends. Farmor even stopped to visit with Dagmar and Bill. They are neighbors not any of our animal friends.
Nap time so I'll be signing off. Over and Out. Little"G"

Cold and Green

I'm a good but messy eater which you might be able to see on my picture. There can't be much left on my face though. Farmor cleaned it off at least three time before this picture was taken.
Looking forward to the weekend with mom and dad. Little"G"

Looking for Signs

Today I signaled out this particular sign and gate for my investigations. It proved to be very entertaining. Just after my little recital a deer popped up out of the trees. I wonder if he enjoyed my concert? Well he saw the dogs and off he went down the road and into the creek.
I did get to meet a nice retriever puppy who was so wiggly I couldn't get a hold of him. He wanted to go over and play with Ricki and Nika but I don't think that was a good idea and farmor agreed.
I just finished my strawberry Popsicle and am getting a little tired so I'll be blogging at you later. Little"G"

Tinker Park in Menlo Park

Todays title actually rhymes, has a nice ring to it doesn't it. I went there after we took our dogs on their walk and feed our horse friends on Grove. Again I got to feed the horses with my new extra large carrots. I had so much fun of course I had to climb all over the horse property and feed the dogs their cookies.
When we got home we changed clothes and headed out to the park. The park had lots of other children and some nice equipment to play on. I swung on the swing and climbed on the slides. One of the slides actually has two slides and a tunnel to hide in. There is a big train thats on springs and grandpa really got it moving for me. There was lots of squealing and laughing from yours truly. I also got to play on the motorcycle toy with farmor's help.
Grandpa was impressed with how I'm able to climb up the slides ladder and sit down to use the slide. Well I'm almost 17 months now and my coordination is improving all the time.
I just finished lunch and it's time for my snooze. Little"G"

Bear

Good afternoon and welcome back to my little blog. Today I got to try something a bit different Farmor bought some really big carrots that would make it easier for me to feed the horses and goats. Well Bear the goat couldn't believe his eyes when I showed him what I had.
As usual I had to test out the carrot to make sure that it was fresh and sweet enough to offer to my friend. It was and I did. Bear was beside himself he couldn't get it down fast enough and Farmor had to give me two more to satisfy his hunger.
Bear is recuperating from surgery on his bladder and carrots are one of the foods he is allowed. I'm so happy to see him back at his home and feeling so well. He had to go to Davis for some very special treatment but Don says everything went well and Bear should be just fine.
Time for me to take a snooze so I'll be blogging at you later. Little"G"
PS as usual additional photos are posted here.

Proof
That's right today I'm offering visual proof of how I feed the horses. Yes Farmor does help me at first but then I go for it on my own. See if you can see when I taste test the carrot before feeding the horse.
I also meet Oma who was out on the open road in her red car and I got say hello to Boggie her dog. I also got to play ball with Ricki and Nika, I've had a very busy day. Little"G"

Pony Ride

Hi everybody what a day I have had. Not only did I see two huge jack rabbits up close but I saw chickens, roosters and turkeys. The best was when we went up to visit with Crystal the horse. Not only was Crystal there but so was Dr. Beth who wondered if I would like a pony ride on Snowflake?
Before I could signal grandpa he said you bet he would. I couldn't have said it better myself. Grandpa and I crawled through the fence and I ran up to Snowflake who was eating some alfalfa. He didn't seem to be real interested in going for a ride. Dr. Beth came up and put his leash on. I guess they actually call it a halter and then grandpa put me on top of Snowflake.
Even though Snowflake is a small horse a miniature horse actually his back was wide and slippery. Grandpa had to hold on to me so that I wouldn't slide off, no saddle you know I ride bare back. I wasn't on for long but then I got to explore the stable and feed Snowflake some special treats.
I even got to help Dr. Beth move Snowflake to another pasture so he could run. My job was to shut the gates and grandpa got to lock them. I had so much fun but we did have to continue with our walk. So we thanked Dr. Beth and Snowflake and went on our way.
When we got home grandpa and I rinsed off the dogs with the garden hose, what fun and then played in the backyard until farmor announced lunch was ready. Spaghetti one of my favorites well its time for a rest, blog at you later. Little"G"
