Happy to See Us

It's Monday and that means we feed our friends on Alpine and Willowbrook. I know that you never get to see how my horse friends greet us and just how happy they are to see us. Well today's video will answer that question.
There are a few things for you to watch for and note in the video. One Farmor is the one doing the heavy feeding. When I'm up close the horses tend to stick their faces right into my face trying to get their treats. Farmor doesn't want them to slobber all over me or to nibble on my fingers. So if you look real closely you will be able to see me throwing some carrots that the dogs get even thou I'm aiming at the horses. So much for good intentions but the horse get plenty of carrots from Farmor.

After getting home from the walk I went right for my swim vest and Farfar and I went out to the pool for a quick dip before lunch. I'm really getting to like this swimming thing. All the splashing and jumping into the water what fun.
I ate real well for lunch and watched my Earthed 3 Video. For those of you that are unfamiliar with this video it features the European Bicycle Downhill Racing Season..... Little "G"

Hungry

How's this for a picture? I say yummy-yummy! If you can't see what I'm eating for lunch let me tell you. First in front of me are noodles and some potato string fries that I had dumped in there from another bowl. On my left in the white bowl is a hot dog and I almost ate the whole thing. On my right and out of the picture is my strawberry ice cream cone. I like to mix all my food together. I take a bite of hot dog then some ice cream then shoe string potato followed by some noodles all washed down with water.

Shoe string potatoes are very yummy when served with hot dogs and here is a picture in case your interested procuring some for yourself. Farmor likes them because they are not very salty, Farfar and I like them because they taste good.
I did do other things today not just eating but come to think of it I did eat well on our Windy Hill walk. I had my strawberry pop tart the one without any sugar on top, milk, raisins and some cheddar fish. I almost forgot I had my juice and I shared some dog snacks. I guess I was touch hungry today.

When we got home I ran into the garage and got my swim vest off the hanger and headed out to the pool. I found my green frog and went into the pool with Farfar. We splashed and jumped up and down all while throwing the balls for the dogs. Both Ricki and Nika like to come over with their ball and drop them in the water so that we will throw it for them. I played with my swimming frog capturing it and then launching it back into the pool again and again.
Then it was time to shower off the chlorine and have some lunch..... Little "G"

Windy-Smokey and Cool

That describes this morning in Portola Valley but of course that does not slow me down in the least. I collected my cars and trucks and transported them into the backyard. I have a nice table to arrange them on and to play on. The table even has room for my Popsicle. The Popsicle has room to melt nicely and to make a obstacle for my four wheel drive Hummer. You maybe able to see the red Hummer in the picture its the one I'm pushing.

On our walk today we went by Roberts Market and low and behold it is finally open and ready for business. We ran into a neighbor lady who said that she had already been to the store and it was just full of customers. When we got to the store I saw this neat banner proclaiming the opening. The dogs were with us so we will have to explore the new store another time. You will have to standby for my review.
I was then off to play and inspect the tractors and bulldozers that I saw on a jobsite as we walked. I could not get on them as there was a fence around the property, oh well maybe next time. I have one more photo for you it is from Farfar's cousin Mike who just got back from a diving trip in the Cayman Islands. I think it is really cool...... Little "G"

Spinning

Hi there today has been full speed ahead. Dad dropped me off at Farmors house and as soon as he left I headed outside with the dogs. Farmor brought me my milk and a snack but I was to busy driving my car and running around the pool with Farfar in hot pursuit.
I went through my regular routine of hiding dog cookies for the dogs to find and swinging on my swing. I had my hummer truck out on the table along with two boats and some fruit snacks. Then it was time to go inside to get ready for our walk. We have to get all our equipment ready to go including water for the dogs, snacks for our friends along the way and of course things for me to drink and munch on.
It was Hidden Valley day and the weather was mild and comfortable. Here is a picture of me on Trail Lane. I love climbing on this fence and playing under the redwood trees. I'm also showing a video today of my favorite new sport Spinning the Stroller.

After we got back home I changed into my swim gear and Farfar and I went in the pool. I played with my swimming frog that Oma gave me on Friday, its really neat.

There was lots of jumping up and down and the dogs got into it too. Ricki and Nika bring their balls to the pool and drop them in the water for us to throw for them. In the picture you see Ricki ready to play ball and I'm perched on Farfar's shoulders so we could jump up and down.
Then it was into the shower to get the chlorine off before having lunch. I'm pooped so see you later.........Little "G"

Joe's in June

As you might guess our walk took us over to Joe's house for my adventure. The dogs and I played hide and seek in the high grass that everyone else might call weeds. Can you see me hiding behind the funny looking plant?
I have my bag of carrots that I bring along on all my walks. The dogs and I enjoy eating them and of course we do share with the horses we meet. Sometimes Farfar and Farmor have some too everyone seems to enjoy carrots.
Now here is a interesting picture of Nika waiting for me to throw her a carrot.

Can you see her in the tall grass? I thought she looked funny and I laughed and laughed at her. She did get her fair share of carrots. You can see some more pictures on Flickr.
I have one more picture to share and its for mom.... Little "G"

Organic

I'm starting with good stuff first today. I'm talking about lunch, I was famished and I had lots of goodies to chose from. Rigatoni, organic chicken burrito and peach ice cream. I dove in, not literally but figuratively or maybe I did dive into the food. It seemed to be well distributed on my clothing, face and a little in my hair. I'm getting a little off point here I loved the Organic Chicken that's right mom the chicken burrito.
Farfar cut it up in nice pieces so that I could just squeeze the filling into my mouth and then munch on the tortilla. The burrito was interspersed with rigatoni and this yummy peach ice cream. The bottom line is that I ate a good lunch and enjoyed it immensely.
The dogs and I went on our walk that turned out to have a lot of stop and visit with people I had not met before. We ran into Blue the Sheltie who is under going radiation therapy for a brain tumor. He is 9 years old and the vet had to shave part of head and marked it with blue dye so they knew where to position the radiation. I hope everything goes well for Blue he is a very sweet and friendly dog.
When we got home it was off to the backyard and into the pool, oh what fun Farfar and I had. We even got Farmor wet by splashing her while she sat with her feet in the pool. Now its time for you to enjoy this little video of my brother Saxon..... Little "G"

More

More, more and more thats what I saw today on our walk. We headed out early this morning to try to beat the heat. Windy Hill was our destination and of course that meant we had to pass the Alpine Road horses and pay our toll of carrots. They are always very appreciative. Our walk in Windy Hill was uneventful we did meet a nice man who told us about the dog he just adopted from the animal shelter. He really liked Nika and Ricki and wondered how much they weighed. Farfar told him its amazing how everyone has seen or had that imaginary 150 pound German Shepherd.
As we came out of Windy Hill I saw a roller machine it was yellow and had these two huge rollers instead of wheels. The man was tamping down asphalt and you could see the steam rising slowly from the pavement. We stopped and watched from under some shade trees, Farmor was grateful because it was cooler under the trees.
As we proceeded along Portola Road we discovered that they had a big, big yellow Cat digging dirt and a smaller white Bob Cat pushing the dirt around. I was in seventh heaven as we watched them work.
On the way up Groveland Farfar stopped to take some pictures of me with my feet in a very silly position. Enjoy the following slideshow of pictures of these events.

When we got home I headed for the backyard and some quality playtime. After driving my car around which I managed to crash into the dirt. I saw my Manta Ray motorized toy on the garden table. I went over and grabbed it and headed for the pool cover control to open the pool. Of course I couldn't do it by myself so Farfar had to open it for me.
I turned on the Manta Ray and with a mighty toss launched it into the pool. It quickly dove down and then streaked back up to the surface and I shrieked with joy. I ran down to the pool stairs and pointed that I wanted to go in so Farmor changed my clothes and put on my swin vest and Frafar and I went for a swim.
The dogs where chasing my toy around the pool and we where splashing water at the dogs, we all had a very good time. Then I was off to the shower to warm up and wash the chlorine out of my hair. Lunch was next and I was very hungry eating up my Rotini and meat sauce. I'm getting a little tired so bye-bye for now..... Little "G"

Riding

Here is a short video from yesterday of me riding the spring horse at the Portola Town Toddler Park.

Are you interested in a surprise ??? Have you been checking Farfars other sites ??? Do it know !!! What do you think ? Will you be check his site or do I have to keep leaving hints here ? Did you leave a comment ? Little "G"

Free Preview

Wow do I have a show for you today you get a preview video and pictures from my walk today. We went on our normal Tuesday walk over to Hidden Valley and thats where the excitement began.
I was out of my stroller and running on the trail next to the street when a lady with a German Shepherd Dog came down the street. Her dog was not on leash and came running and barking at us. I stopped and stood behind Ricki and Nika let that dog know that she better stop right there. Nika has one of those barks that says listen to me and stop what you are doing and the dog did. The lady told Farmor that she let the dog off leash because she is less aggresive that way. Not much common sense I would say.

Next we were off to the Portola Valley Park where I went on the slide, crawled up and down on the wagon and rode the spring horse. Thats when I noticed that the constructions workers had a huge yellow cat digging next door. Farfar lifted me up on the fence and I watched it for a long time. Farfar took this picture by reaching in front of us with the camera and snapping the shot.
From there we walked home on the Portola Trail and when we got to the Sequoias low and behold there where more construction workers with their awsome machines. They where digging and laying down asphalt and where using trucks, cats and paving machines. We stopped and watched for a while then it was off again we needed to get home and have some lunch.
Oh I almost forgot we saw two does and two fawns on Farm Road...... Little "G"
Its free, its exciting and I'm the star what else could one ask for! See me in action doing death defying feats of acrobatics, well maybe not exactly death defying but a little scarey.

Yellow Cat

Look what I got today a big yellow cat, not a kitty cat but a tractor cat. When I got to Farmors I went over to my work bench there it was. A big yellow cat with a movable scrapper up front just like the ones I see on my walks.
As you may be able to see that I'm sitting on the coffee table a very good place to test out my cat. Then I went over to the couch which seems like a field to scrape and to drive over the pillows which are like mounds of dirt and onto the window sill.
You say how about your walk? The weather was very comfortable and I visited with the horses on Alpine Road. Its real funny how one of the horse was down in his shelter and Farfar shook his bag of carrots and he came a running. The other horse was out in the pasture and was paying no attention to us. Farfar made these funny clicking noises and he came running too.
As we continued our walk we came around a corner on Grove and there to our right was a mommy deer and her two brand new babies. They just stood there for a minute and then hopped away up the hill. You can't believe how close we sometimes get to the wildlife.
We also saw Shasta a very small German Shepherd Dog and her mom. They were both very nice and I gave Shasta a dog cookie that she really enjoyed. Next it was off to Joe's place and lots of running, climbing and exploring. I got Farfar to chase me around the posts and chains and then I chased him we had so much fun........ Little "G"

Spray and Squirt

Today was a different day here at the ranch. Instead of going out and hiking all over the valley we decided to stay around the house. The backyard temperature was lovely and it was a nice morning to chill out.
No I didn't just sit around reading a book with a glass of ice tea. Instead I played with my trucks and drove my car all around. Farfar had put together a key with a chain for my car. The chain is so that its harder for me to misplace it. Now my car is just like mom's and dad's except I have to make the engine noises.
As it got hotter I got my spray bottle out and proceeded to cool of the dogs with a little atomized water. Well that just wasn't doing the trick so I took the garden hose and sprayed them off good.
If you can believe it I got a little wet myself and did that feel good. Especially when I followed it up with a nice warm shower. For lunch I had a hot dog, rigatoni and some ice cream for desert.
I have attached the following video of me spraying the dogs with my squirt bottle. No this video wasn't taken today but it is only a few days old and well within its expiration date..... Little "G"

PS: for all the dads out there a very happy Fathers Day and that goes double no triple quadziple for my dad!!!!! Love ya "G"

Double Your Fun

Today is a double surprise not only do you get a short video but some nice pictures of me and my little brother Saxon. Mom brought us to Farmors house this morning for a short visit and some coffee. Farfar got some pictures of the event as you can see.
That cute little guy on your left is Saxon he was sitting outside with Farmor watching mom throw the ball for the dogs. Saxon was mesmerized by the dogs running up and down the yard.
I even got into the picture thing with Saxon and Farmor on the couch in the backyard. I think you can see the family resemblance between us.

Of course Farfar took some more pictures that he will be putting onto Flickr. You can see in the mosaic on the right side of the page some of those photos popping up.

Finally here is a picture of my mom while she was enjoying her coffee and conversation with Farmor.

Oh yea I almost forgot about the video clip it is of me and Nika playing find the cookie. Nika always finds the cookie but I have a good time making her work to get it.

We did go on our normal walk and I ran and played with Farfar and the dogs. Enjoy the video... Little "G"

Artist at Work

Yes I know you are excited about my art work but the question is how do I do it? Well as you can see from short video it is a intense process. I have to work myself up into artistic frenzy and then it all spills out of me onto my canvas. Well not a real canvas but my Etch-a-Sketch.

As for today well it started early as dad had to go into work early this morning so he dropped me off at Farmors at 7:00 AM sharp. It was all fun and games from there. I went right for my trucks and put them through their paces first on the floor then the pool table and finally on the couch.
Farmor gave me some cereal and a bottle of milk I took the milk and headed outside to see what the dogs where doing. They where just waiting for me to come out and play hide and seek and capture the dog cookie. I put my big red and yellow car through its paces around and around the pool.
Then it was time to get ready for our walk. Today it was Hidden Valley where it is nice and shady on these hot days. Along the way I got to stop and watch a big cat (tractor) and dump truck at work. On Hidden Valley Lane I ran, explored and had a nice snack of carrots and juice. I feed a lot of carrots and dog cookies to the dogs.
Farfar and I play on the dirt trails I run and he and Ricki chase me. We go round and round and by the time we are all done I'm pooped. On the walk home I got to see my first fawn of the year. Its mommy deer was standing right next to the little fawn and was real close to us. So we stopped the dogs and let the mother lead her baby down the road. How cool is that?
When we got home it was back out to the backyard to water down the dogs. I get the hose with the squeeze nozzle on it and spray the dogs who just love it. I also get a little wet myself and today I got Farfar wet too. Then it was off to take a shower and have lunch....... Little "G"

Summer Has Arrived

What a day I have had a very busy fun day. It started when I arrived at Farmors house with dad. I no sooner got in the door when the Cal Water man came and asked Farfar to move the BMW so he could read the meter.
Well that was like a green light for this boy I ran out to help uncover the car so we could move it. We got in the car and I put the keys in the ignition so Farfar could turn it on. I got to sit on the center rest so that I could assist in steering the car as we moved it about 5 feet back. Then I was able to take over the captains chair and do my thing.
I used the steering wheel and checked out all the knobs and controls as Farmor sat in the co-pilot seat. I kept waving good bye to her but she never got the hint that she could get out and leave me to my own devices. Oh well I had fun even thou she never got the hint.
As you might imagine today is a hot day so we got all our animal snacks together and headed out on our appointed rounds. We feed the horses and visited with other dogs along the way. It was getting hot so we tried to stay in the shade as much as we could. Farfar was really sweating pushing me up the hill and back home.
Farfar had a real surprise for me in the backyard. A wading pool as you can see in the picture with boats and all. I changed into my swim attire and off I went to explore my new toys and pool.
The most fun was that Farfar was filling my pool by pumping water from the big pool into my pool. I took the hint grabbed the hose and the real fun began. As you can see from the picture I had my juice in one hand and the hose in the other. I squirted the water all over myself and anybody who got close. That included Farmor, Ricki and my toys.
I was having so much fun throwing my toys in the big pool I put on my swim vest and Farfar and I went into the pool. Temperature 74 degrees a little cool but certainly manageable on a hot day like today. We splashed and played with Farfar throwing me in the air and Farmor filming with her movie camera.
After we got out of the pool it was time to take a nice warm shower in the garage where I can make a mess and no one cares. Yes I used the hand held shower nozzle all by myself. Then it was lunch time and I was a bit hungry. I had rigatoni with meat and tomato sauce with some crackers and a Popsicle for desert. Time to go......... Little "G"

"T" Time

What a morning at least thats what Farmor says she thought that maybe I had turned into the energizer bunny. Dad dropped me off and I was off to the races, full speed ahead. I had lots of things to do.
I ran over to Farfar who was sitting at the table and flew up into his lap. I started jumping up and down it sort of put this funny look on his face. I wonder what that was all about? Oh well he seemed to be alright as we went outside to play with the dogs.
You know the story with the dogs I play with their toys and I feed them snacks and play keep away with them. I ran over to the dog pillows and threw myself down hiding the dog cookie against my body. The dogs come up and use their muzzles to try to turn me over to get the goodies. It's so fun and I giggle and laugh until they get the goodies then I go whine to Farfar that I need another dog cookie and it starts all over.
Yes "T" Time well that occurred on our walk today. We went down to the soccer field and low and behold what did I see? A large green tractor mowing the field. I climbed up onto the fence for a better view and the tractor came close and the man got off.
Farmor asked him if it would be alright for me to test it out. He said yes and up I scrambled onto the tractor. It had a big yellow seat with the biggest steering wheel I have ever seen. I was able to put it through it's paces for several minutes then It was time for the man to resume cutting the grass.
Farfar was really surprised when I got off the tractor and went over to the man and offered him my hand. Yes we shook hands and I waved bye bye as he went on with his duties. Farmor figured it right I wasn't actually going up to shake hands but I had seen him get the keyes for the tractor out of his pocket and I wanted him to give them to me so I could drive the tractor.
Here is a video of some of the tractor action...... Little "G"

Ummmm

Ummm this push-up is really good and I'm one happy boy. Click on my picture for a look at the real deal. I have a little of my treat all over my face and you should have seen my shirt when I was through.
Today we walked in Windy Hill even thou it wasn't windy today. In fact it was warm and sunny even thou the weather person said it was going to be real windy day.
I get to run along the trails and play in the dirt. There are some ruts in the trails that make keeping ones feet a real challenge when you are running with goodies in one hand and a water bottle in the other. I'm getting so fast that Farfar has to run behind me with Ricki and Nika drags Farmor and my stroller further behind. I'm real good at getting extra exercise for Farmor and Farfar.
I even give Farfar some weight training he has to stop running and put me up on his shoulders and then skip down the trail. I like the hopping up and down motion and laugh and laugh until he runs out of steam. Then Im' off again running full speed a head until I find something of interest. Like interesting plants or sticks to play with.
As we approached Farmors house we saw another deer less than a block from home. It's neat to have all this wildlife so close to where we live....... Little "G"

Snack Machine

Thats me today I have been snacking all morning. I've had everything from raisins to pop-tarts with a Popsicle in between. Yes mom I was able to eat my lunch too I had noodles with sauce, cheese chunks, crackers and lots of water.
You can't believe what I saw today on my walk. A huge John Deer tractor with a brush cutting attachment on it. It was parked on Trail Road and I actually got to go up and inspect it. It had big tires in front and even bigger tires in the back and was painted green and yellow. The man who operated it allowed me to go up close and touch the wheels, tires and mowing attachment. I even got to look into the cab which had a very large steering wheel and lots of knobs and levers. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get in and drive it. Maybe next time.
On the way back to the house we saw a large buck thats a male deer you know. He had antlers and was resting in the high grass. The dogs where real good and didn't bark or try to chase the deer. I like seeing all the different creatures that live in the same area as we do. I still haven't seen any mountain lions or bob cats. I have seen a coyote they kind of look like a dog and Ricki and Nika don't like them....... Little "G"

Trucks

I've had a fun day today of course I went on my walk and visited the horses and dogs who live on Willowbrook. I played with my dogs over at Joe's house. I also discovered the old huge mailbox on Joe's porch and had fun opening it and putting old telephone books into it.
At Farmor's house I got all my trucks out and played with them on the table. I even got my helicopter out and transported it in my dump truck. It's the same dump truck that dad played with when he was boy. Here is a short video of me and my trucks... Little "G"
