Challenging

Challenging that's the theme for today. Yes I'm at that point in my life that I might not know the meaning of words like assertive, challenging and demonstrative. But I sure do know how to demonstrate there meaning.
Farfar says that I'm just having one of those days where I'm exhibiting my desire to be a born leader. He tells me that there is no such thing so I guess I will just have to work at proving him wrong.
Right now I'm working on cause and effect. The cause is to get what ever it is that I want and the effect is sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. I'm still trying to figure out what I need to do to get the desired effect all the time.
It seems everyone is hoping that my little bit of acting out or one might describe it as a tantrum soon passes and that one gets more with sugar than coal. I'm not sure what that all means but I understand that Farfar's grandmother used to say it a lot when he was small. I guess this assertiveness, challenging and demonstrative behavior maybe a family trait.
On to the good stuff here are a few pictures from last night. Mom and Saxon picked me up at Farmor's house and here are a few memories.
In picture number one I'm perched on my puzzle toy and Saxon is playing with it at the same time as mom watches. In picture number two you see Saxon looking through the sliding glass door at the dogs. I get out a kick out of his reflection he looks like he has dog ears. Number three is of Saxon throwing the ball or is it catching the ball you decide....... Little "G"

He's Back

Yes my friend Star is back after a long summer. Every day that we walk by Mapache and Westridge I look for that special horse. Yes Star is very special you see when he was born his mother died and he had to be raised by hand. That means he had to be bottle feed and his owner I'm sure got very little sleep. Just like babies he needed to be fed every few hours and needed the companionship that his mother would have given him.
For as long as I can remember which is the last couple of years everytime we walk by his house we would stop and visit with him and his dad. We always have some carrots for him and he loves to come up and get petted and scratched. He and Ricki seem to be good friends too they both make some unusual sounds at each other and Star is always wanting to get Ricki to run with him. Of course we cant allow Ricki to run after Star but it looks cute when Star takes off running and then runs back to see why Ricki isn't running after him. I guess no one told him dogs and horses aren't supposed to play together.
The answer is yes we were thrilled to see Star back home again and we had a whole bunch of carrots for him. While we were visiting our friend Bill came by with some apples for Star and I had fun watching him bite the apples in half and gulping them down.

Oh yes here is a picture of me from yesterday as I kicked back with my video controller and watched some videos.......... Little "G"

Corte Madera

Yes today you get treated to some pictures from my walk and playtime at Corte Madera School.

You may surmise from the pictures that it was a lovely day here in the valley and you would be right. Not to hot not to cold but just right. I visited with all my animal friends and enjoyed playing on the big kids play structure. I went up and down the big slide and with Farfars help I walked back up the slide instead of going up the stairs. Sometimes Farmor would be sitting on the end of the slide when I came down and I plowed into her. We would both break out laughing and couldn't stop.
Farfar and I also played hide and seek that you maybe able to see in one of the slides. I'm so fast he can barely keep up with me. I'm merciful at times and let him catch me and then the game starts all over again.
At home we jumped into the pool and played with my frog toy and the dog balls until it was time for lunch. Oh I have to tell you about the game we play with Nika. Farfar and I splash and I mean big splashes. Nika runs over to us and tries to catch the water in her mouth and in the process she gets all wet. Then she barks at us to do it again and we do. She then goes and dives onto and into her dog pillows to wipe off the water and I laugh and laugh this is really fun.
It's time to take a snooze have a nice weekend everyone........ Little "G"

Feeling Better

Yes I started the week suffering from a runny nose and congestion. I was listless and out of sorts but by Thursday I was back to feeling like myself again as you can see from this picture of me running in the backyard.
You might notice that not only do I have my Binky in my mouth but I also have my Apple Remote Control in my right hand. I have gotten proficient in the remotes use and just love to control my videos. It seems that I just heard an important audio clue in one of my favorite videos and I have to get back inside pronto.
Here I am watching a video with Nika at my side and demonstrating my overhand video control input device.

Not only did I do a lot of running on my walk but I was back in the pool big time. Lots of jumping spashing and throwing the ball for Ricki to fish out of the water. Have a wonderful weekend....... "G" Truck

Yes today I received my new orange garbage truck just like the one I see on my walks. It makes the same sounds and even has it's own garbage can with its motorized lift. I can fill up the garbage can with cereal or fruits or both then I can lift the can up with the use of the trucks conveyor belt lifting mechanism and dump the garbage can into the truck.
The truck even has it's own garbage man to assist me with my pick-ups. He can fit in the cab through the doors that open and he can be placed to push the garbage can to the truck for loading. I have been playing with my truck since this morning and only stopped to take the dogs for a walk. No pool today as I have a runny nose and I'm acting a little tired according to Farmor. Well thats all right because today the truck is all I need....... Little "G"

Headed for the Top

As you maybe able to conclude from the picture I'm making my way to the top. I'm scaling the chain ladder at the Corte Madera School after taking my dogs for a walk. What fun it was playing on the big kids play structure with lots of things to climb on and two slides to come scooting down.
Oh yes I spent a goodly amount of time in the pool with Farfar and we are starting to work on blowing bubbles with our mouths under the water. Farfar says this is very important fundemental to learn so that I can swim all by myself.
All this exercise made me hungry and I ate like there was no tomorrow. A bowl of hamburger meat, spaghetti, Pringles and a small amount of peach ice cream.
Here is a short video of me and the construction site......... Little "G"

Septic Tank

Hi everyone today has been very busy and I must apologize for this late post. You see on my walk today I discovered a covey of tractors, big trucks and workmen. They were building a new septic system in Woodside and were in the process of digging some neat looking trenches and holes. They had huge pipes and a septic tank to lift into a great big hole. They even had a huge mound of rock that the workmen said they used in the leach fields what ever that is. I watched for a longer time than usual as I still had to go and burn off some energy. Then I was off and running down the trails as usual.
On our way back home I maneuvered it so that I got to stop and watch the tractor digging holes. It had a big shovel on it that dug into the dirt and scooped it out. Then the operator swung the shovel around and dumped the dirt into another hole. Then he moved the tractor to a different position and put down these things that look like feet and then using the shovel he lifted the tractor up. I was entranced and just stood on the fence for the longest time. Yes mom and dad I climbed up the fence all by myself.
It was afternoon by the time we got home and of course I still had to go in the swimming pool. Farfar and I had a great time splashing and throwing the ball in the pool for the dogs to retrieve. All this exercise made me ravenous and I ate and ate. Hot dog, noodles, ice cream and some Pringles makes for a great lunch. I even opened the Pringles container all by myself including the seal that keeps them so fresh.
I took my milk and blanket and headed off for my nap, I was almost asleep before my butt hit the mattress..... Little "G"

Cherry on Top

Cherry on top that describes my day. You see I really missed my dogs while I was gone last week. You should have seen and heard them when I arrived at Farmors today. They where howling, barking and jumping up and down. When I went out to the backyard they licked me and sniffed me all over and their tails where going a mile a minute.
I had to test out all my toys and put Farmor and Farfar through their paces before we went out for our walk. They passed with flying colors even thou I had to go and get Farfar to help me with choosing my Popsicle. He must have forgot that even thou I open the freezer all by myself I like to have him there to assist me in choosing the one or two that are just right.
On our walk we not only saw all of our regular friends but three male deer. They are called bucks and have antlers growing out of there heads. They look really neat and they just stood there and watched us as we passed by. I think that the dogs would have liked to bark at them but that's not allowed.
My next stop was at Joe's house where I ran and played. But here is one of those cherries just down the road from Joe's there was a bright orange tractor working along the road. Farfar said we could go down and see what it was doing. Well when we got to the tractor we saw that It was Carlo driving the tractor. Carlo has a big piece of property and lots of neat animals like Lorenzo the Llama and lots of sheep.
Well Carlo asked if I would like to drive the tractor and of course I said YES. I was thrilled when Farfar lifted me up and into his lap. We didn't actually drive the tractor but I got to steer and shift the tractor. I also gave the tractor a good inspection before we continued on our walk.
Once we got home it was time to head for the pool and to spray the dogs with the hose. I just could not get enough of playing in the pool. Farfar had to almost drag me out of the pool so we could eat lunch. Lunch was good I had bow ties, hamburger and Fudge bars for dessert. Well I'm a little tired now so I will catch you later........
