Better Late

Thats right it is better late than never so here it is! I was really busy today no nap. No rest just non-stop action. Oh yes I did the normal stuff you know walking the dogs feeding the horses etc. Well that was just for starters.
You see it was time to go pick out a Christmas tree. So it was off to Web Ranch to see what they had to offer and boy did we find a interesting tree. I think it is what they call a Douglas Fir but don't take my word for it. All the trees look alike to me!
I will say that the most fun part was when the man who helped us dragged the tree over to this neat contraption that he pushed the tree through. When the tree came out the other side it had this net all over it and made it look a lot more svelte. Then it was off to the trim area where the man did something called a fresh cut. He had this really awesome electric saw that he used to cut the end off the tree so that it would soak water.
Next he helped Farfar put it in the bucket and off we went with the tree sticking out the back window and Christmas carols streamming out of the back window. Somebody better tell Farfar he can not carry a tune!
Now it was time for a little lunch and maybe a nap. Well that is what Farmor thought anyway I wasn't in the mood to sleep when we had so much more to do. I helped Farfar put the tree in its stand and to shake off all the dried up needles. This was one fun job because it included the use of one red shop vac. It is loud and can either blow stuff around or suck it up. I tried both functions and can report that they both are a lot of fun.
